computer is an Electronic machine, Operating under the control of
instructions stored in its own memory which can accept Data as an Input,
manipulate the Data according to specified rules i.e. process depends of Software, Produce
results or Information as Output, and store the Results or Information for future use.
In other words a computer is an electronic machine which gets some meaning less facts (DATA) from us and after processing produces some meaning full matter (INFORMATION).
The word “COMPUTER” came from an Greek word "COMPUTE" which means to "CALCULATE". This is the reason that the computer is considered as a Calculating Device.
